Looking northwest from the top of Mt. Sunday. The mountain range, on the left, is part of the Southern Alps. This portion of the mountain range was also used as a backdrop in the filming of <i>The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers</i>...more specifically, for Helm's Deep.
